Taste of Wales Course

A 3-day course for students who like the kitchen and who want to get closer to the Welsh language through learning about several traditional Welsh recipes.
You’ll feast on food vocabulary to do with baking and cooking. You’ll become familiar with commands used in recipes as well as measurements and a wider vocabulary. As well as getting to grips with 10 key words every day there will be language exercises such as matching up words, crosswords, fill in the blanks and perhaps some puzzles and a quiz. We’ll have a go at reading and listening exercises based on work and recipes by Welsh speaking TV chefs such as Beca Lyne-Perks, Bryn Williams and Dudley Newbery.
You’ll have the chance to share your favourite traditional recipes which no doubt will vary from person to person and place to place, and to discuss them together.
Wednesday afternoon we’ll visit Bragdy Llŷn Brewery where you can sample locally brewed beer.
There will also be an evening’s entertainment to add a more musical taste to the course.
