Thank you to all of you who came to support our Christmas fair this year. It was a wonderful day with the winter sun shining on the village. It was a pleasure to welcome you all down to the Nant. A big thanks to Pwllheli Brass Band for providing the entertainment, to Berwyn Coaches for transporting everyone down and back up all day and a big thanks to Santa for visiting us of course!
Over the last year, Nant Gwrtheyrn has secured funding to host special workplace courses called Work Welsh Courses, the Nant has been running tailor-made courses for workplaces throughout Wales. This year, courses will be held in Bridgend, Pontypridd and Cardigan as well as hosting the majority of Welsh Work courses at Nant Gwrtheyrn. The courses give employees of different sectors across Wales the opportunity to take advantage of an intensive Welsh course giving them the confidence to go back and use Welsh at work. ‘Wednesday afternoon trips’ have become a bit of a tradition here at Nant and Welsh Work courses have adopted this tradition. All classes attending the Welsh Work course have the opportunity to visit local businesses that operate through the medium of Welsh. Classes visited local businesses such as Potato Cwt Tatws, Plas Hafan, Cwrw Llŷn and Poblado Coffee in the past. Recently, a Work Welsh class visited the Pant Du vineyard in Penygroes. Thank you very much to Rich for the warm welcome!
Our mainstream courses will be starting again in February. Special offers are now available if you join our Friends of Nant Gwrtheyrn scheme.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all from everyone here at Nant Gwrtheyrn.
