Happy New Year to you all!

After a break over the Christmas period, the village is once again bustling with some construction work going on at the cafe. The latest extension will include new toilets for Caffi Meinir customers together with store rooms and some office space. So, if you come down to the Nant for some lunch or a cup of tea, remember to use the entrance through the main door of the hall.

Ysgol Bro Lleu came to Nant Gwrtheyrn for their end of term visit before Christmas. The children had an opportunity to learn about Christmas customs and traditions during the Victorian era and to experience how a child’s life was in the Nant during the quarrying period.

Bangor University’s School of Ocean Sciences held their Saltmarsh NET Workshop at Nant during December and it was a pleasure to welcome all the interesting people from all over the world to Nant during this week.

The ‘Welsh Work’ program continues with staff from different organizations across Wales attending our courses on a weekly basis.

Thanks to everyone who made New Year’s Eve at Nant a spectacular evening this year! Everyone enjoyed the entertainment by Patrobas and Band Pres Llareggub.

We are now looking forward to our St David’s Day celebrations as well as Santes Dwynwen, St. Valentine and Mother’s Day celebrations.
