The nice weather has attracted a variety of groups to visit the Nant in recent weeks. As part of a tour of Pen Llŷn, members of Bodelwyddan Church visited the Nant before continuing on their journey towards Aberdaron.
Another group that returned to the Nant this year was the ‘Llandudno Learners’ group and it was nice to see old friend and former Nant tutor, Howard Edwards, among them. Hope you all enjoyed the treasure hunt around the village!
A special children’s festival ‘Dewin and Doti’ was performed here during June with up to 200 children and parents enjoying each of the three shows.
A new course to be held here at Nant was the Welsh Film course. It was the first course that Mared Llywelyn Williams of Morfa Nefyn had taught at the Nant and it was an extremely successful course. Learners had a special opportunity to visit the ‘Ysgwrn’ while studying the film Hedd Wyn. Thanks to Mared for her work. We also thank Mr William Roger Jones, Llanbedrog, for his fascinating talk about his uncle, actor Huw Griffith’s career. Everyone was really grateful to have an opportunity to hold Huw Griffith’s Oscar!
Remember that everyone is welcome to join the Learners’ entertainment evenings, which usually take place at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Contact us for more information: 01758 750 334
