After almost fourteen years first as General Manager and then Chief Executive of Nant Gwrtheyrn, Mair Saunders has decided to change direction at the end of the year. Her intention is to pursue a slightly different career in the consultancy field and look for other opportunities to make a contribution from her experience and expertise in the public and commercial sectors. Huw Jones, Chairman of the Nant Gwrtheyrn Trust said 'Mair has worked tirelessly for the Nant for almost 14 years, including sustaining the organisation through the difficult Covid period. During this time the Nant has gone from strength to strength. The Welsh learning activities have received exceptional praise from the Estyn reviewers and the Centre attracts visitors from all corners of the world for events and celebrations. We are grateful to Mair for her dedication and wish her every success with whatever other work she will be involved with in the future'. Mair Saunders said: 'It has been a privilege to lead Nant Gwrtheyrn's work for almost 14 years. It has been a great experience to see the potential of this special place being realised. I am grateful to the Board for the opportunity and to all the staff for their hard work. I am confident that we have laid solid foundations for the future. I now want to take some well-deserved rest before venturing into new areas of consultancy.’
